How to use Bold Text Generator

  1. Type or paste your text in the Your text box. The box selects itself when you tap it, so you can type over the sample right away.
  2. Scroll through the results and pick the style you like, such as Bold, Bold Italic or Bold Cursive.
  3. Tap Copy next to that style, or tap the result box to select the text and copy it yourself.
  4. Open Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, WhatsApp or any other app and paste the text into your bio, post, comment or name.
  5. To change the text later, paste the styled text back into the first box, edit it, and copy the new result.

What is bold text?

The bold text you get here is not normal formatting. Each letter is swapped for a matching bold character from the Unicode standard, so it stays bold when you paste it into apps that have no bold button, such as Instagram bios, TikTok names and X posts.

Styles you can copy

  • Bold: clean sans-serif bold, the most readable choice for bios and headings.
  • Bold Italics (Sans Serif) and (Serif): slanted bold text in two looks.
  • Bold Cursive and Cursive: handwritten letters, good for names and short captions.
  • Italics: slanted text for emphasis.
  • Small Text: tiny raised letters, like ᵗʰⁱˢ.
  • Small Caps: capital-style letters at lowercase height, like ꜱᴍᴀʟʟ ᴄᴀᴘꜱ.
  • Bubble: letters inside circles, like ⓑⓤⓑⓑⓛⓔ.

Where can you use bold text?

Paste it anywhere that accepts plain text: Instagram bios and captions, Facebook posts and names, X (Twitter) posts, TikTok bios, YouTube titles and comments, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Discord, emails and text messages.

Tips for better results

  • Use bold for a few key words, not whole paragraphs. Too much styled text is hard to read.
  • Styled text is not read well by screen readers and is not searchable, so keep important details like phone numbers and links in normal text.
  • Letters and numbers are converted. Emoji, punctuation and letters from other alphabets stay as typed.
  • If a box shows empty squares on an old phone, pick another style.

FAQ

How do I make bold text for social media?

Type your text in the box, press Copy next to the Bold style, then paste it into your post, bio, comment or name. No app or account is needed.

Does bold text work on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X?

Yes. The styles are Unicode characters, so they can be pasted into bios, captions, posts, comments and display names on all of these apps.

Why does my bold text show empty squares?

Very old phones and some fonts do not include these characters. Update your device or choose a different style such as Bold or Italics.

Can I make bold text for my TikTok or Instagram username?

No. Usernames only allow letters, numbers, periods and underscores. Use bold text in your display name, bio and captions instead.

Can I turn bold text back to normal?

Copy the bold text into a normal text editor and retype it. Because each bold letter is a separate character, deleting the style is not possible automatically.

Why are some letters or numbers not changed?

Only English letters and numbers have bold versions in these styles. Other alphabets, emoji and symbols stay the same.

Is the bold text generator free?

Yes. It is free, needs no signup, and your text stays in your browser.
