Edit Profile Threads Instagram App

This guide is about editing Threads profile in Threads app. You will learn how to change your name, username, Bio, Link and profile type.

You can change Threads profile from Profile icon → Edit profile option. Here, you can change profile Bio, Link, profile type and save changes by tapping the “Done” option. Note that, Threads profile name and username can only change from Instagram.

How to edit profile in Threads?

To open the edit profile screen in the Threads app, tap on the profile icon from the bottom right corner and tap the “Edit profile” button.

Now, in Edit profile screen you can edit your profile detail and change following things,

Change Name or username in Threads

Currently you can not change your profile name or username from Threads, because your Threads profile name and username is synced with Instagram.

It means, your Threads and Instagram name and username can only be changed from Instagram.

Change Bio description in Threads

To change Bio description in Threads, open Edit profile screen and tap on “Write bio” test. Next, add your profile Bio details and save changes.

Edit link in Threads profile

You can add one link in your Thread profile. To change or edit a link in Threads, tap on the “Link” field in the Edit profile screen. Next, change the link and save your changes.

Change Thread profile private or public

To make your Threads profile private or public, first open the Edit profile screen. Here, you get the “Private profile” toggle option, enable it to make your profile private and disable it to make your profile public.

Save Threads profile changes

After completing your profile changes, tap the “Done” option at top right corner to save your profile changes.
